Composite Milling Machine PF 1200 E

Ayebaba,

The PF1200 is not available in the USA. We have currently several machines in the market for test purposes. Depending
on how the testing goes, we might introduce the PF here.

Regards,

Christian

Festool private seller

Click the contact button on the left of the screen when you get to the link and ask the seller if he can get it for you. He usually can. He is not a Festool business as far as I know so he does ship out of Australia to the US. Most items seem new that he gets though.

Worth a try, good luck!

Dunna no but wow does it look cool albeit a tad expensive.  ;) :o Fred

I still don't know what it does ??? is it to "score" aluminum for bending?

I think the OFK 500 is cool though ;)

Scott W., if you follow the link and then go to the second page they show a couple of black and white pics of large aluminum sheets being scored and then snapped off much like drywall. Here is the link for that page. Page 2 PF 1200 E Fred

Yea, I saw that Fred But with a "V" bit are they snaping it off or bending a 90?

P.S.

Fred, when you gona come up for a "shop play date"? Maybe we can get Timmy C. to come for a weekend... I need some shop cabinets built ;D ;D ;D

Scott, now that would be great in all respects. However, right now I am retrofitting my shop and until I get it done nobody is coming in. ;) :D ;D It looks like all five of my dogs had a thirty-three hour unsupervised playdate. :( :o ::) I think once Timmy recovers and my new Festool schtuff gets here we will be all set. ;D :D ;) Fred PS Maybe we can get Timmy to swing by Illinois and pick up Nick as well.  :D

The PF1200 mills the Alucobond sheet for folding. It does an excellent job, and the folds are perfect every time. There are two milling cutters available, one for bending sheets are 90 degrees and another for 135 degree bends. Alucobond is expensive, so getting right every time is very important, and unlike stationary machinery, the PF1200 is used on site so you save a site trip, either the one to measure up or the one to fit.

The OFK500 is cool. As much as the OFK700 and MFK700 are more sophisticated and out-perform the OFK500 when it comes to laminate and other edge trimming jobs, I really like the OFK500 for quick round-overs and chamfers.

......

Thanks for the explanation Anthony.

Anthony please pull that seller out of the my quote, that is referred to in your post. When I called eBay he is in investigation mode as of yesterday. He had great feedback until April 14th 2008.

Is it possible his account was highjacked?

I have no idea. From reading his only neg feedback it seems someone ordered a planer from him and the buyer got piece of wood.

Seems like the only reason to do that is to extend the time until the buyer found out he was burned as the buyer could follow tracking during the shipping. Maybe this gave the hijacker even more time to rip someone else off and create a longer time before the owner of the account found out.

Otherwise a rip off seller would send nothing before an empty box,  this guy has been on ebay 3 years why pull this now?

It very well could of been hijacked.
