Connecting two MFT/3 fences

I have two MFT/3 fences that i would like to connect together to make a really long fence. I was thinking the best way is probably to use the T track in the same way the guide rails are connected together. But guide rail connectors are too wide for the fence track. Does anyone know of a festool or non festool part that would work?

You need the connecting rods which are called VS (484455).

Edit: Sorry wrong interpretation of the post, it's about the fence and not the MFT/3 table itself.

I use one of the old style Kapex extensions. It mounts right up on the protractor that the regular MFT fence attaches to. Its set up the same as the reg fence, It can extend to about 8' and has a tape measure that comes with it.

They are still around if your interested. I think its the left side fence you want. Id get ahold of Bob Tom, Sean, or Aldo they might have one in stock.

I know these work for joining two MFT/3 tables together.
Will they also join the MFT/3 fences?

Do you know what the part number is for this?

I can confirm these will not work for the fence.

This thing?

I can see some advantage to using it(not the price obviously!), but I like the that the fence on the MFT extends beneath the rail. I already have an adhesive tape on my MFT fences, calibrated to the cut line, and a sturdy means of connecting them together is all that remains.

Yeppers just one of them is all you need. It comes with legs etc for use with the Kapex (ya got to have the crown stops to use this with the Kapex) But just the extension itself will fit right on the MFT. The ends expand out ad retract. It has a tape that comes with it so you can use that.

It works for me. I got mine from Tom. he may have some one lying around if not him then maybe one of the other retailers may have one.
It is pricey. But I wasnt using mine with the Kapex anymore. Since I moved here my shop size has been greatly reduced. Ill figure out how to fit at least one side in eventually.

I think you got my last one, Ron... That was quite a while back.

Just a note - if you find a right, you can make it a left and vice versa.

Tom

Ya know Tom at first I didnt care for much at least for the MFT. Now that Ive been using festools for a while I use the heck outta it on MFT. It makes a pretty hefty fence. Plus because its longer then the reg fence, I find it easier to square up.
