Conturo Edgebander - Table mounted and hand held

I thought I'd post up a couple of photos and 2 videos of the Festool Conutro in use. For smaller pieces I bought an adaptor  plate (festool part number 500175) and made myself a table to mount it in.



The table top can be removed so that it can be used for supporting other semi stationary kit



Like my rutlands router table top.



The first video shows the edgebander hand held with the panel clamped to the table. The edgebander has 2 speeds, and I find it easier to start off slow and then switch to the higher speed. This can be done easily when the machine is hand held, but not in the table.



The second shows the edgebander mounted in the table.

I think that part of the issue is that one or more of the small images autoplay which is delaying the download to the screen for the other videos.  I might suggest deleting those and just having the two large video boxes.

I can see them on my Mac.

They play ok on tapatalk Steve. I just click follow the link and it goes to photo bucket where I click play.

Like the new toy , are you doing a lot of edged stuff now ?

Hi Chris.  I've got several cabinet making projects in the pipeline including 2 kitchens. Things are really busy at the moment which is good - how is it for you?

Yeah good ,January was quiet but now everyone wants everything done at once lol. Got a huge extension to price up all the carpentry on. At the same time as decorating our house ready to sell.
