Cool arts and crafts shelf

Came across this neat arts and crafts shelf today, so I had to share. Might have to attempt a knock off when I get back from vacation. It has the pegged through tenon of course, but what caught my eye was the adjustable  shelVing feature, a trick that I'm sure others on the FOG have seen, but which was new to me.  The notches hold a mated notched board upon which the shelf sits, making it much sturdier and easier to adjust than shelf pins.

Let's see if I got this right:  There are a pair of those long trapezoid pieces for each shelf.  You pop them into appropriate wedge slots on each side of the cabinet.  Then lay the shelf (board) on top. Three separate pieces for each shelf.  Edward's bottom pic shows a little cut out of each corner so the shelf (board) can go wall:wall and won't slide left/right.  Are there ledges on the bottom of the shelf (board) that keep the  trapezoid pieces from moving out ?  Maybe there not even needed.

Nice design, all wood, no fasteners, looks good.

Seems like an awful lot of work to eliminate some holes and pins. If you want all wood just use wooden pins.

I did not know about van dykes -- thanks.  Looks like they have some great stuff for furniture  restoration which my wife and her heirloom furniture pieces will be very excited about.
