Cordless Carvex vibrations normal?

I just picked up a used PSC 420 (cordless Carvex) and I noticed that regardless of speed, the vibrations seem to be quite a bit worse than my old Craftsman (Bosch clone or OEM) corded jigsaw.  I haven't attempted to cut anything with it yet, I thought I'd check in here to see what I should be expecting in terms of smoothness.  I'd say the vibrations feel like a non-Festool random orbit sander, if that makes sense.  That is, I feel like my arm would start going numb after a few minutes of dealing with the vibrations.

Thanks!

I don't have any vibrations and I have the corded version but I wonder / suspect if the issue is that you're not cutting anything and therefore the movement of the saw is causing vibrations through your arm whereas when you're cutting those vibrations are absorbed into the material? I'd certainly suggest trying to cut something before you worry. I'd also suggest setting the speed to auto and using the pendulum on position 3 (I think that's the right one - where it's got the most pendulum action) - this is assuming you're cutting wood.

I just tried cutting a pine 1x6, and I could barely keep it in contact with the board!  I did the same with my other jigsaw and it was dramatically smoother.  Now to find out if it's under warranty or time to return it!  Many thanks for the suggestions!

Comes with a 3 year warranty and a 14 day no issue return (well in the U.K.)

Since I bought it used, and the original buyer had not registered it, nor had a proof of purchase, Festool deemed the warranty expired based on the manufacturing date on the tool label.  The seller has agreed to cover the repairs or provide a full refund if the repair cost exceeds the sale price.  The Carvex should be arriving at Festool today, so I'm hoping to hear something back in the next few days.

Thanks for the advice so far!

Sorry for bumping an old thread..

Mine is acting exactly the same. Did you found out what was wrong with yours?
