Corner book shelf ideas?

I have an office in need of some storage space.  I have a couple of corner areas that have about 28" of free wall space on each side.  I'm really struggling with a design for how to best use this space.  Have any of you built a corner cabinet / bookshelf in an area such as this?  In space such as this should I avoid making a corner unit and make a single unit? 

I'm really having trouble visualizing a design.  Does anyone have any ideas?

I just built some corner hutches for the last job I did. 

I really don't have any pictures though, my laptop had some issues and I lost most of my pictures on it.

I will be going back there in a day or two, I will take some pictures.

one way might be to put floating shelves, avoiding the need to use plywood to add structure.  Attach a 2x2 to the studs on the wall and build floating shelves around the 2x2's.  This gives you free access to the shelving... or something like that.
