Could use a Panel Handler!

I sure could use some type of panel handler to move full-sized sheet goods.  I may even require two such items, one to maneuver the somewhat level concrete floors in my shop and a second that could negotiate the almost too steep pathway that leads around the house to the basement where the shop is located.  I have seen plans in woodworking magazines for a panel mover that is similar to the Troll 49.  And I see that there is another Troll, the Model 112.  Anyone know how well these work -- or any other suggestions?

It turns out that I just bought the model 49 a couple of weeks ago.  It works VERY well for flat floors.  Last weekend, I was horsing around 4X8 X 5/8" sheet rock by myself.  I was impressed at how easy it was to move the panels.

The handle is useful for lifting it up an inch or so to move it around corners (slide sideways), but I haven't tried it on stairs or a steep path.  I think you'll a helper for stairs and some form of four wheeled device for the path.

Thanks guys!  That cart that lets you flip the panel onto a cutting table is one that I have also seen and it does look, well, interesting -- may be just a little awkward at one point in the process, but probably gets the job done.  One of these units may be what I need for the shop.  As for getting the sheet goods to the shop, I have been looking at the wheels on the kayak carts I keep in the garage.  And I think they're looking just a little nervous.

As for getting the sheet goods onto a table or table saw, very soon you'll be able to do that with one finger.

Yea, then I'll need a pair of roller skates.  -- sorry --  Kinda pricey compared to those yellow pannel carriers.  But they do look like a good idea.

I just spent the last hour unloading and transferring a bunch of UltraLite MDF. Gorilla Gripper doesn't mar the surface of even this relatively soft material.

Gorilla Gripper is a useful tool but much of the load was handled by the Panel Carrier. Together they make a great combination, the Gorilla Gripper gets you going when the panel is sitting on the ground but when the panel is up on blocks it's much easier to use the Panel Carrier. Once the material is in a horizontal stack the Panel Carrier can't do much more than extend your reach across the stack to pull a sheet toward you but then the Gorilla Gripper can give you a solid grip to really move the sheet.
