I guess this is vaguely about a home improvement project.
I needed some 11” wide shelf liner but 12” was alli could find. Not wanting to laboriously cut an inch of the entire roll with scissors, I placed the new, tightly wrapped roll on the bed of the miter saw and carefully cut down through it. Voila! The roll was now 11” long, meaning I had my 11” wide shelf liner. Absolutely smooth cut.
