CT 22e does not always work on Automatic

Has anyone had a problem with their CT 22e not sending power to the tool on auto? This happens sporadically with my Domino 500 and with an ETS 150 sander. The tool will start and then mysteriously stop. Cords have been switched out but it repeats. If I plug the tool directly into the wall and put CT on manual everything works, but this is not convenient.

I would suggest that you contact Festool Canada and talk to their service department in an effort to track down the most likely issue.  If it is a cord issue then swapping out cords might end up affecting more tools and cords rather than helping the situation.

When this happens on my 22, I find the problem to be the cord not making good contact with the receptical on the vac. I usually pinch the prongs on the cord in a bit, and it usually works.
