CT 26 Extra Socket Outlet

Hi there I ordered one of these from this site as i wanted to put another socket on my extractor

and it is still an EURO Socket not a UK 240V 3 Pin?

It says "Festool spare part - Module - REQ PLUG CHANGE".

Not sure what that means, but it sounds pretty plug changey to me.

Perhaps [member=19280]powertool-supplies.co.uk[/member] can help - have you rung them yet?

I have emailed them about it and I am now awiting there reply...

I just emailed them about this.  It is a standard part, but they need to change it to a UK socket.  I mentioned your experience and they said it must have slipped through unchanged.  I'm sure if you contact them they will correct it.

Haha, this is begging a comment on how the Brits should get in line with the German socket 

496405 is the same part number it has here. I assume Festool only has one variant per part number, so yes, that would be the "normal"  [tongue] socket.

I assume you mean it has the Schuko socket? Euro socket implies no grounding, accepting only the thin Euro plugs.

I was thinking an Eu outlet on an Aus vacuum, then I can run Eu tools without needing to modify the plug.
Most of my plugs are modified, but it still has me chin scratching...

AFAIK, the "inside" connections are identical. The top connection block carries the power, and as the UK, EU and AUS all use nominal 230V 50Hz, I can't see any reason why you could not use a secondary EU socket (or GB socket) in your AUS extractor.
