First post of hopefully many to come.  31 yr old single father licensed remodeler in Minneapolis MN, whom is quickly becoming addicted to his Festool-s.  To all who are apart of the R&D, engineering, users, all people involved in the design and production of Festool tools.  GOOD JOB!:) never have I been so impressed with anything.  I truly look forward to work everyday in hopes that I can use one of the few tools I own.  (Hopefully not few for long)  Saving my coin for the RO 150, and a MFT!

Hi,

Welcome to the FOG!  [smile]

What color is the filter ... white or yellow?  White is HEPA, yellow is regular.

Ok thanks for the response.  Please let me get this strait then.  Is what I'm seeing a high performance filter that's labeled High Performance 24-30$ cheaper than filters labeled HEPA?  It is yellow.  Then the other which I know isn't a HEPA is white which was 30$ bought for sole use as cheap back up or woodwork.  I basically have 3 choices for filters from what I've read.  Basic, High Performance, Hepa. Thanks again.

Not sure about the pricing or where you purchased etc.  But Festool only lists two filters (+ the sponge one for liquids) for the CT26.

HEPA is # 498994

Non-HEPA is #496170

The high performance filter is designed specifically for use with the CT 36 AutoClean (AC), which is a dust extractor made for use with our drywall sander. The filter is designed in a way to prevent clogging and has few folds than the HEPA filter. It will work with the CT 26, CT 36, CT 36 AC, and CT 48 without any problems but doesn't offer quite the same filtration level as a HEPA filter. I hope that helps explain.

Ok that makes sense.  It more less an affordable option for me to always have a higher quality filter in my CT-26 for house chores, cleaning out vehicles.. Thanks guys
