Hey everyone,
Is there a fix to making my hose vacuum the floor without clogging so quickly. Certainly dust is no issue but if I vacuum up just a few chips they get stuck at the rubber end of the hose that you plug into the accessories and back up solid. What it appears to me is that they get stuck there because the end of the hose is very sticky pliable rubber, I think that if it were harder plastic or a nylon type material that chips would slide right through.

Example, my Miele does not clog at all when I tried it side by side with the Midi in the shop (don't tell my Fiance I took the Miele into the shop). The Miele hose is the same diameter but the end is a very hard tough plastic.

Thoughts??
Thanks

Use a bigger diameter hose. Any 2 1/2" $10 "shopvac" type hose will fit the Festool vacs. Reserve the small diameter hose for the tool dust collection.

Hi,

Yup, what he said.    I have that problem with the D27 too, but I also have that problem with any small diameter hose no matter what it is made of. Interesting that the Miele doesn't clog. The main thing that I find clogging though is longish splintery stuff, like tooth pick type pieces.  I do most of my floor cleaning with  a  2 1/2" shop vac hose, or spmetimes te D36.
