I have a ct36 that is a bit over a year old. The hose garage has already broken in two places. One right where you tuck the cable into the top and the other where the systainers foot sits onto the top. Has anyone come up with a way to stop the plastic from cracking? It gets daily use, but isn't holding up anywhere near as well as I expected.
What about a plywood or a boatboard top instead of just plastic? Has anyone tried such a thing?

I just replaced the garage on my ct36 and I used epoxy and brushed it into the recesses on the under side of the garage.  It seems to make the garage more rigid.  I now need to replace the garage on my midi.

A combination of super glue, wooden gussets, and 3M "plastic emblem adhesive" (a strong waterproof contact adhesive) keeps mine going.  The plastic is too thin as well as too brittle which means it cracks too easy.  I wish festool would offer a re-engineered version for replacement. Until then, I try to handle it with kid gloves.

I used ABS glue, super glue none of it held up long, so I went and bought another one. Heres a helpful hint, don't stand on them they can't take the weight.

Don't ask me how I know that

+ one for ABS cement.

You can also get some this abs sheeting to sister onto the inside like a bandaid.

I agree, this version of CTs isn't as robust as the last generation.
