CT Midi Issue

I just purchased a CT Midi and RAS 115 combo.  The midi shuts off after about 5 minutes of use with the RAS.  After a few minutes the Midi would turn back on, but then shut off again after another 5 minutes of work.

Anyone experiencing the same or similar problem?  I also own a CT26 and have never experienced that type of problem.

Sorry to see that your first post here ( [welcome] ) is about an issue.  I would suggest you contact your dealer and see if he has another new CT Midi in stock to swap out.  If not, then contact Festool USA directly via phone or email.

Welcome to the forum. Peter offered good advice on how to handle the situation. It sounds like there may be a problem with the cooling or the thermal sensor. Swapping for a replacement might be the easiest solution if you bought locally and the dealer has another in stock.

[welcome] to the FOG/ Like others, I am sorry that your first post had to be about a problem, but - as you can see - it will quickly get sorted out. There are a LOT of great people here who are very eager to hel.

[crying]I had the same Problem with my CT36AC, I bought it during the planex sale back in February. Local Dealer told me that the sale was limited to the vacs in stock. It was the only 36AC they had in stock. If they ordered a new one to replace it then would be full price. they then told me to send it to Festool for a repair? I returned it for a full refund then began using www.shopfestool.com. I bought one from them and it works great! Never ventured to see why it did that but so far its been my only extractor to do it? hope your next one works for you!
