I recently purchased a 2nd CT-36 on Ebay Marketplace.  It needed to be cleaned up a little, I added the Blue Tooth module and its a great add to my shop.  The only issue is the Outlet Door doesn't snap shut like my first CT that I purchased new.  The spring is present in the hinge area of the door but its not registering to snap the door closed.
Any others have this issue and fix it?  I haven't found any mention in searches.

Thank you,
Chris

Did the spring escape from it's hook or did the hook break off?

It's common to see heavy used CT's without the socket door.

Mine came brand new with the door loose in the box  [eek].
Doesn't matter for me, I simply aligned the spring and clicked it back on - however I somehow did it wrong and the spring is now keeping it open.

But again, something that doesn't actually matter for me - there'll always be something in that plug in my tiny workshop and having it like that actually makes it easier for me.

Anyway - point is that you can carefully remove the door and re-align the spring, some tweezers might be needed.

Thank you both for your replies.  Under Closer inspection I found that that the right side of the spring "Lever end" was out of the housing.  The left side smaller lever was rotated 90 degrees.  I removed the cover which was easy once I figured out it lifted off. used a small diameter punch to push the hinge rod out and then slide the door in from the top with the spring in the right locations.  I then re-inserted the hinge pin and its all good now!
Thank you again for the help it got me on my way!

Chris
