CT-VA Configuration

Just received my CT-VA. Am I reading the line drawings correctly?  It looks like I can use the cyclone on top of the base unit WITHOUT the dust container for sanding. Is that true? I would think the container should be installed regardless of what you’re doing.

Yes you can use it without the dust bin.
