CT Vac's weight capacity? Man/Auto on repetitive cuts?

Hi all, first time poster, long time reader. Is there a suggested weight for how much you can safely stack on top of the vacs with systainers? Just recently had elevator access to a job, stacked the following onto a CT Mini; TS75, Carvex + accessory sys, ETS125, Sys2 with random parts, and CT Sys onto.
This worked great, but I don't want to fatigue the wheels long term.

Also, when making multiple cuts at the miter station, would it be prudent to just switch the vac in manual mode and let it run, or auto and have it cycle on/off 50 times?

Thanks in advance, I've fully committed the system approach, just trying to get the most out of it.

Not that I know just dont stand on it or you'll break the hose garage, dont ask me how I know that

I think you'll be ok considering they are designed to hold the Work Center and I loaded mines up with all kind of stuff weighed a ton so I got the stool to hold the WC

Personal preferance I don't but whatever rocks your best, these are professional grade tools and in europe they use them for all kinds of stuff, plus ya got the 3 year warranty

I just checked my CT 33 and CT Midi. When the switch is turned to Manuel the outlet on the Vacuum does not work. Mine are older versions and I seem to recall that some newer versions of Vacuums may be different.

If making multiple cuts turn on the extractor and leave it running, I'm sure it was somewhere on FOG that I read the constant cycling on and off is the main causes of extractor failure, also you are not waiting for the extractor to get up to speed before each cut.

The CT22/33 never had that feature.

It is only recently that Festool changed the way the switch and outlet operate.  I have officially asked when that took place and what mode,s were affected when..............

But they seem too busy with their new sander project to be bothered to report the answer.  What say you [member=57769]TylerC[/member] ?  It's a rather significant change that was not advertised , blogged, YouTubed, or tweeted about like all the other improvements and rollouts.

Welcome to the FOG, [member=65555]MGDS[/member]! Thanks for jumping in. There isn't an official weight limit with the CTs. As [member=10147]jobsworth[/member] said, we don't advise standing on them. As long as you don't do anything unreasonable with them -- an admittedly vague statement -- you should still be within the warranty should anything happen.

[member=727]antss[/member] At this point, the US product team does not have any additional information on the CT switch update from HQ. I'll update you if/when we get anything else.

Thanks for the reponses all, I've never been a tool abusurer, just want to get the most out of my recent investments. Once my systainer stack was 6' tall I began to wonder. Also I believe my vac is new enough I'm able to use the outlet to charge tools etc...keeps the extension cord mess to a minimum.

I think your question regarding weight has been answered, BUT not the stability issue of multiple systainers atop the CT.  My hose garage shattered (not cracked) when I had two SYS 5's stacked atop and as I walked by I bumped it just hard enough to send the collection over center.  The hose garage literally shattered.

I've stacked them even taller than that many times and my hose garage is still completely intact after four years. I usually unstack them once I get up the elevator because the slightest bump on the floor can send things teetering, but the casters should be able to support a few hundred pounds.

All the shattering complaints sound like photodegradation to me. I do not coddle my vacuums in any way but I do keep them out of the sun.

I've stacked both my midi and my ct26 far taller than wisdom suggested with no issues. I have had my ct26 garage shatter/splinter in cold (~20°F) weather a few times. The midi garage seems to be much more sturdy (at least the newer T-loc version).
