I purchased a CT26 from my local dealer today.  It was a returned item, but they said it checked out in their VAC.  I installed it into mine; and went through the pairing steps of pressing the vac button for 3 seconds until the light "spun".  Then I pressed the man button on the remote.  It seemed to indicate success.  When I press the man button on the remote, the bluetooth module on the CT lights up; but the vac does not turn on.  Any suggestions before I too return it?

There are two pairing modes.........try holding the button down longer.  It will flash a different patttern (faster spinning?) and should work.  That happened to me until I read the instructions [embarassed]

I set the vac to auto.  I read the manual and reset both the vac and the remote.  Then I tried pairing the remote by holding the button for the 10 seconds until it blinked quickly.  I pushed the man button on the remote.  The pairing light went off.  When I pressed the man button on the remote, the CT just blinked.

Here is a video of the steps I took:

Have you tried removing and re-seating the module? (I remember some one having problems with his auto switching accessory outlet which were fixed after re-installing)

I just installed mine in a CT36AC.  I also had problems, turned vac to auto, pressed module button, slow rotating blue...would not pair.  Looked at video again, tried again.  Started over several times, always slow rotation, finally pressed module button second time...fast rotation finally, pressed remote, finally paired.  I work with electronic automatic doors and am used to instructions not always making machine function as set out in manual.  Software instructions are still developed by aliens.

Had a similar thing happen... would intermittently work.

Tried replacing the battery and it worked worse.

Took a piece of the cardboard that held the battery, folded it in two, and stuck it behind the battery to apply more pressure to the contacts... now it works 100%.
