CTL Midi

Hi all, new here to the FOG forum.

I have a CTL Midi with a Long Life bag.

Even though i have cleaned the Midi, Bag and Filter thoroughly i am finding that loads of dust and debris is sitting on top of the bag, in the filter and even in the base of the machine when i open up the Vac.

I am wondering whether i have a missing seal between the bag and internal port.

Any advice?

I never have this with my Mini. There is only one seal and it's in the bag itself, the white rubber ring around the hole in the paper top.

Just make sure it's properly seated.

Thanks for the reply Alex, yes the top is seated properly every time, both side clips snap locked without force but the problem still exists.

Maybe your bag has a small tear in it somewhere, have you checked the bag itself?  I have a midi and have never had any dust outside the bag and in the bottom like you're getting but I'm using regular bags.  You might try a regular bag and see if that results in dust outside the bag too, if so, it would eliminate a problem with your long life bag and point to a problem with the connection to the bag.

#cblanton42  Thats exactly what my thoughts were so i have ordered some Hepa Filter bags to see if this makes a difference.

Hi again all, sussed the problem and boy, do i feel dumb.
Turns out the long life bag has an additional white seal at the port opening which had somehow locked itself to the bag closure lid.

Everything is working as it should now but guys, thanks for the comments and help.
