Hi there,

I work with the CTL33 vacuum cleaner ( Festo) and i would like to replace the 2 filters.

Festool wants to charge me allmost 90 euro for one(!!) filter and I need two. No way that I will do that.

These filters look verry much like a car filter. Does anyone know wich car matches the size for this vacuum cleaner?

The price for my car filter, almosst the same size is 18 euro a piece...

Gompy, I think you're confused with the HEPA filter for the CTL26/36/48 models. That one costs 90 euro but those vacs only take one.

For the CTL33 the standard filters cost 33 euro for a pair. Festool website Toolmax

There are also more expensive longlife filters available at 72 euro. Festool website Toolmax

So no worries. Any dealer can order them for you.

Btw, I don't think car filters and vac filters are the same.

humm, that is the news I was hoping to hear. Thanx...

Perhaps you have a simular answer for question number 2  ;D

At the moment I am using those standard bags for this machine. Nice for saw and router dust but not for dust and material from the wall. ( stuukwerk  [laughing] )

That stuff makes a bag heavy and the risk of tear is big if you want to remove an bag after it is full.

I had the idea to use the same basket as needed for wet vacuum. That one is ease to remove and can be emptied easy in aan bin or something like that.

good or bad idea ?

That's a bad idea with stuukwerk (or plaster, as it's called in english) . That basket doesn't filter the dust so your filters will clog up in no time and you can throw them away. I have not found a good solution for sanding plaster. I mostly used my CTL Mini for plaster and accepted that I had to put a new bag in when it was only 1/4 full because the pores were clogged. It worked a bit better with the longlife bag for my CTL 22, I could empty that one when I wanted and bang on the cloth to open the pores again.

Either of you guys near Sneek? I used to go sailing near there a few years ago. Leeuwarden, Joure, beer and good times...

aan de andere kant van de plas denken ze altijd maar dat je er vlak naast woont of dat iedereen in 020 woont  [big grin]

Translated;  No, You have been in the North of our country I live some where in the middle, but i did do the sailing and beer part too  ;D
