Well I’m remodeling my house and started buying tools mainly Festool because I like nice things.  Found working on my MFT I had no place to store little items and tools.  The Work Center is just too much to pay for so I started thinking and spent less than $50 on what I did so far. A side mounted metal peg board with pegs for tools.  I mounted a T track I had from a miter table made and attached my parallel guides to that and built a box for the top.  Have no issues with rolling around the house and added spacers on the peg board to unlatch cyclone.  Will have to take two upper nuts and bolts out to empty but that’s not that often.  Came out nice and will hopefully get it smarter with use.  Pictures below.

Quick box for the top.  Bottom is recessed so just sits securely with no fasteners so I can acess underneath

I use the CT as a rolling toolbox quite a bit also. Good thinking incorporating vertical storage on the outside of the cyclone.

You mention you're building a house. Are you doing a significant portion of it yourself?

I’m remodeling the interior house.  I did the electrical and plumbing changes and some demo of Sheetrock.  I also did the spray foam and low voltage wiring.  I paid for framing changes, Sheetrock, windows and doors and tile work.  Everything else is me. I did buy kitchen, bar and bath cabinets but I’m installing.  I plan on doing custom closets, pantry and laundry cabinets, this all the new tools.  Fun work, my brain functions have never been better with all my research and task at hand.  Gotta just keep chugging and try not to let my wife set the deadlines.

Ya. That's sorta why I asked. I've been through that a couple times and it's a marathon for sure. The finish line keeps moving but once you catch up to it, it's a blissful moment.

You should have no problem finding lots of interesting questions and content for FOG!

Can't wait to see your projects progress.
