I can't seem to figure this out.  I have a MFT3 and I'd like to try building some picture frames.  I'd like the corners to come together using 45 degree angles, but I can't figure out how to easily do this on the MFT3.  I've tried moving the fence and angle guide to various spots on the table, but haven't been able to find a suitable position.  Any tips?

Thanks in advance!

try using the holes  to allign the cut. you could use qwas dogs or clamp a piece of straight stock to the edge of the holes

So the way to get a 45 degree miter on a MFT3 is to get Qwas dogs?

C'mon, there has to be a way to do a 45 on a single table with the angle unit.  (I can see it working on a double table setup.)

Thanks, Richard.

The problem was how do you make a 45 degree cut on the table?  I was having trouble figuring out where to place it, and my cuts would have ended up off the table.

The pictures you provided show how to set up the angle guide so that that the cut remains on the table.  That's what I was looking for.  Thanks!

The Qwas dogs sure make this cut convenient though. Using the Festool clamping elements is another option.
