So, I couldn't resist the latest release of the Pro 5 ltd sander. I have/had no real need for another sander but I couldn't argue with that price, and the fact I got a $50 voucher was even better.

Well... Now I have to buy something with that damn voucher. There is nothing that I currently need or want from their catalogue. But, I feel that I MUST spend it or else its going to waste. So now I'm looking into buy the OF1400 Router. It will more than likely sit in my basement with the other 4 routers that I barely use. but its a good purchase right? I mean, if I ever need that specific router and I don't have it, i might have to settle for one of the others that i don't use.

Their ploy worked, damn it. Ill buy it.

But....no more vouchers please.

Oh, and now i have to buy all of the sandpaper and accessories for my new sander too.

This meassge brought to you by Sarcasm

Sell it for ... $25? There could be secondary market for these vouchers.

Except you'll need the serial number from the sander.

I'm in the same boat as to what to purchase next. I've got a year to do so, but at this point there's nothing that I absolutely need to have.

Provide sander SN along with the voucher. What's the problem?

The problem is some folks might be reluctant to hand out their serial number. I wouldn't do so, but others may not feel the same way as I do.

Regarding how long you have to use your voucher; don't wait beyond April 1st, when Festool has it's annual price increase.  Otherwise, the value of your voucher will be reduced by whatever the price increase % is on the tool of your choice.

I was in the Pittsburgh Woodcraft yesterday and they had plenty of Pro 5 sanders for sale. There is the 7% sales tax but then you have it in your hands.  And yes, the sales staff made sure to explain the $50.00 voucher.  So you might want to check out your local Woodcraft if any one is still looking for a Pro 5  sander

Magellan, thanks for the tip regarding Woodcraft- Pittsburgh.  I called the Harrisburg, Pa store...I'm an hour above, they sold their last one today.  I called Pitt and ordered two, which I will pick up in December as I will be there for an electronics security seminar about 20 minutes from the store.  [big grin]  I'll have to cancel the two I ordered for Chrismas presents as they will not arrive until the end of March  [crying].
