The espresso machine (Lot #3) is already at $7,000, which is $1,600 over the cost of a new machine once the 27-percent buyer's premium and 3-percent online service fee are added. The description clearly states new machines retail for $7,500.

I'm heavily into collectibles so I get the whole "perceived extra value by virtue of who owned it", but I'm quite stunned by some of the bidding, well pretty much all of it really.

$1600 for a mug? And the script for Mullholland Drive is $8000, which would be along the lines of the most popular stuff I would have thought?

Sure there's gems there, and a lot of gear that would have wide appeal, but attaching a famous directors name to a lot of generic outdated technical equipment that normally goes for a song, wouldn't have resulted in such high resale value I would have thought?

The house that Bill Pullman and Patricia Arquette's characters live in, in 'Lost Highway' was owned by David Lynch and much of the furniture seen in it was made by him.
