Please update your website.  Products that are already generally available don't have information in their corresponding product sections.  For example, the MFT/3 has nothing (not even a picture) in the multifunction tables listings.  Same with the OF 2200 router. 

Also, you may want to run a spelling check on items before posting them.  For example, the very first item that you see when you hit the site is the flash for the Kapex 120.  "Riveling" should probably be spelled "Rivaling" (assuming that's what you meant).  The next one (MFK 700) "One Motor, Two Basee" should probably read "One Motor, Two Bases".    The RO 150 FEQ reads "Dual Mode: Geared Driven" and probably should read "Dual Mode: Gear Driven".

Dear Festool
Love your products, but at times I dislike the lack of information allowed through festoolusa.com.
I would have to second the motion of updating the Festool site. I have held off on some purchases in the past before all the facts were in.
I don't really worry that much about grammer or spelling, but the specifications tab really should be filled in at least.
The accessories section would be my next concern. It would be nice to know what different blades are available for the Kapex, for example.

Maybe as a stop gap measure, some properly qualified person could post these bare facts here on the FOG. We could call it Missing Festool Site Info.

I'm sure there are some internal issues which may delay some of the newer products to be more closely examined by potential consumers through the Festool site, but there is plenty of room for all that info right here on the FOG. I don't think anyone here would mind.

  I'm with you Greg, more info please. Shane is working to update the Festool USA site, but until then (and maybe even after) it's up to us to help spread the word. I've done my part with reviews and posting my take on some of the Festool products, not it could be yours. So come on, I'm sure there is a produce that isn't well described on the Festool site that you could shed some light on, right?

Hey, thank you for your post!  What you are asking for is one of the original reasons for the existence of the Festool Owners Group!

Way back, when I was a new Festool customer, I thought their tools were really interesting and unique.  But I was totally confused about many of the Festool tools, and even more confused about Festool accessories.  I wondered, "who else out there likes these tools, but is confused about them?"  With that question in mind, I started up the forum...the rest is history!

My point is, the Festool Owners Group would be a perfect place for people to clear up some of the mysteries of the Festool lineup.  It's absolutely in line with the very purpose of this forum.  Another thing: I'm pretty certain that providing this information here on the FOG will help Festool sell more of their accessories.

Maybe we need a new board for particularly mysterious accessories?

I think you have hit on a great idea there.  But instead of a new board, how about a contest?  Post a pic of a particularly obscure accessory and entrants state what it is and what it does.  Draw a name from the correct answers for the prize.  ;D

Shane sent me a response.  I'm not upset about it or anything, just looking forward to seeing it with information on all of the "new" stuff populated.  It's SO much easier to find information online than digging through a catalog, ya know?
