Dewalt 621 router with festool track

I don't believe the guide rail connectors will fit any router but festool.  as long as the spacing is correct on your router and the bars that protrude from the connecting piece will slide into the dewalt base, i don't see why it wouldn't though.

Yes, it is possible - You need the DeWalt DWS5031 Track Saw Router Attachment accessory. It allows use of DW 618, 621 & 625 routers to be used on a DeWalt track but I found it could be used with Festool track off the back edge. (See photos using my DeWalt 618) There is a little slop in the fit of the attachment channel to the track guide which I corrected with the addition of two pieces of UHMW tape on the inside of the 5031 channel, one at each end.

Squarecut, do you find the router stable to use on that side of the track? It would seem  without any weight on the track itself it would want to move while pushing the router.  I may pick that adapter up for my dw611.

Yes, should have mentioned that - this method requires clamping track to work. Best of a negative situation when invested in DeWalt routers!

You should always clamp the track to the wood when routing. No exceptions, even when using Festool routers.

Here are a couple of more options

The first - the Festool "Guide Stop Adapter" is actually a pretty decent value for what you get for $50

Using some threaded rod from the local Lowes and a piece of aluminum bar stock, it was pretty easy to fab up a 'conversion plate' since the rods from the Bosch router would not fit directly into the Festool Adapter.  I have found this setup actually works quite well - the router base is firmly on the workpiece and in the pic it is set to be 4" from the edge of the track.  The Festool Adapter leaves some room for adjustment in and out if needed

The second way is if you are interested in ever purchasing the LR32 System?  I actually purchased this Dewalt 611 to be a dedicated router for my system - it was a simple matter of drilling a couple of holes in the LR32 plate and screwing the router down.  Obviously used in this manner there is no adjustment - you have to properly place the track if your going to cut a dado, etc
