DF500 shop-made handle for using the intersecting lines mortising technique

Subsequent to Cheese's and Dick's advice on the size of the pistol screw (M8), I made a handle out of scrap materials and installed it to the DF500 fence.

Now, I can hold the joiner steadily and stably on even narrow registration surfaces to mill mortises at the desired locations. The anti-slip tip I shared earlier is made even more effective with the use of the handle. The handle adds both balance and registration grip to the mortising process.

Anyone who wants to make a similar or nicer handle please feel free to do so.

Pretty slick idea.  I could have used this idea about a year ago on a bunch of narrow cabinet frames.  Thanks for sharing.
