I have searched online and even called Festool this morning, and cannot seem to get an answer on this.  I recently purchased, from Festool, a reconditioned Carvex PSC 420 EBQ, but they sent me the PSC 420 EB.

Does anyone know what the difference is between the EB and EBQ models?  Thanks very much.

Just looking at the line up, it looks like the EB is battery operated while the EBQ is corded.  Can that be right?

I thought maybe that was the difference, but then again, I thought maybe the "C" in the PSC denotes cordless.

Here is info straight from my order confirmation with Festool:

Well drats, it won't late me paste in the screen print.

I'll paste just the text:    Carvex PSC 420 EBQ Cordless Lithium Ion 18V Jigsaw

The Q (quicklock?) denotes that it has a plug-it cord, e.g. when festool changed the vecturo from a plug it cord to a normal cord, the name changed from VECTURO OS 400 EQ to VECTURO OS 400 E.

The C (cordless?) indeed means its battery powered, e.g. TS 55 REBQ vs TSC 55 REB

So a CARVEX PSC 420 EBQ does not exist, it's either a CARVEX PS 420 EBQ or a CARVEX PSC 420 EB, and since they mention Lithium Ion 18V, it's probably the latter, so the Q is just a typo I guess.

Unless you are getting a cool new prototype that can work on batteries and AC power like the ETSC 125 Li 3,1 [eek]

wpz:  Thanks very much.  It must have indeed been a typo, since a cordless tool of course would not have any kind of cord.  Thanks very much!
