difference between FS1 and FS2 guide rails?

i just saw a local ad of someone selling a 800mm FS1 guide rail and a 1080 LR32 FS1 guide rail for an interesting price.
i searched the net to find the difference with FS2 models, but couldn't find anything.
i do not yet have any guide rail compatible tools but that will come sooner or later, so what's the difference? are there any compatibility issues with recent tools or clamps?

Well, it was a little before my time with Festool but I believe the FS1 has only a single rib on it versus two with the FS2. Otherwise, I think they're very similar. So, your only issue would be with any accessories that rely on the outside rib (closest to the edge of the rail).

thank you Shane, can you specify which tools need that extra ridge? i only intend to use them with the routers, no TS

The OF1400 guide for the rails uses both ridges.

The OF1400 guide only uses 1 rib, it does have 2 "saddles" but they are used for fine adjustment, only 1 actually rides on a rib. 

Accessories that use the outer rib, which is not on the FS1 type rail are for instance: the FS KS angle guide, the parallelguides, the gecko-dosh suction clamp, there might be more.

Another difference between the rail types is that the old one doesn't have the green glidestrips, but I use the older type with my ts55 alot, and it glides just as smooth on those  as on the newer rails.

Although we don't have it here, the Carvex attachment for the guide rail uses the outer rib I believe.
