What's the difference (and intended use) for these stops?  That last one I saw on the Lee Valley website but no one else.  The v-groove threw me off.

The first one is for the MFT

The second is for the Kapex UG MFT 800/1080

The third is for the LR32

Cheers,
Eric

So the second one can't be used on the MFT/3?
I don't have the 3rd one but would it be useful or can it be used on a regular rail or MFT/3 mitre?

I don't have a MFT 800/1080 so I can answer this with 100% certainty.  I believe the fence is different so, I'm going to say no.

As for the third, it can be useful, but you'll need the other parts to make it functional (note in the picture, they have changed the knob, the unit below is the newer stop):

Ooh, seeing the rod gives me a better understanding on how it's used, thanks.
I have to buy a stop for general rail use (like start and stop grooves instead of a full pass) so I wanted a second.  The one that came with my TS75 is good but the one that came on my MFT/3 is even better (if it can be used on a regular rail).  I'd also use it as a second for my MFT/3.

I picked up a second flag stop for my MFT after the price was went down by almost half!  They're quite versatile and can also be used on the CMS router table if you have one!

Cheers,
Eric

The third one can also be used as a tool stop on the guide rail. Indeed, the photo is from when it was sold for just that purpose before the newer plastic stops were introduced. I have one of them for use on the rail (and would like to get two to replace the ones in my LR-32 kit that have the knob adjustment) as they're very easy to position and use with the ratchet adjustment.

Where and how you use the stops is limited only by your imagination. There is a mix of flag stops on both the UG wings and the MFT fence in this photo.

Only difference between 1 & 2 in the first photo is the flag. I don't park the flags on the stops so I don't care about the flag.

The 3rd one clamps the outside of the rail boos. I use those for all kinds of stuff also.

A home made stop.[attachthumb=2]
