Dim Laser Line on Kapex

I'm trying to come up with an effective way to increase the brightness of my laser lines.  One side (left) is brighter than the other.  I've cleaned the blade guard as best I can, but it still isn't as clean as it could possibly be.  I can't see to get to the actual laser lens itself to clean it.

Suggestions anyone???

You probably need to clean the lens. When it gets covered with dust and debris, it can cause the laser line to appear less bright.

To remove the lens, you'll need to loosen the retaining screw. Then push in and down on the ribbed surface and slide the lens out. Clean the lens with a soft cotton cloth. If it's really dirty, you can use soap and water.

There's a diagram showing how to remove the lens on page 28 of the Kapex's supplemental manual:

Let me know if you have other questions.

Thanks, [member=1477]lawhoo[/member]. Darn copy/paste. Fixed it in my original post.

I've done that and it's still dim, especially on the right side.  I think that something is on the laser lens itself but I can't see how to get to it.
Suggestions??

At least you can see your lines, mine seem to come on intermittently at best.  I have taken out the cover and cleaned it and it stays clean now but the laser doesn't come on some times?

[member=4640]MrGinCT[/member], is it possible your right-hand laser is misadjusted so that part of the laser line is striking the side of the blade? As I was writing the procedure for the Supplemental manual, this was an effect I noticed when the laser was adjusted too close to the blade. The position of the laser on the wood will still be correct, but half the line is blocked by the blade.
