DISCONTINUED Festool CMS GE Set - IN STOCK (US)

Between this and the Vac Sys thread, I’m pretty sure this is what the mourners felt like watching Lazarus come up from the dead

What other resurrections do you have up your sleeve, Shane?!

Seriously though, appreciate you notifying us here first. I was lucky to get a CMS from a local dealer last month. Happy for those who got to order one from you!

I assume the CMS units were manufactured last year? Some of the vac sys components (I think the SE1) I heard had manufacture dates in 2022, which is confusing since I assumed they would have stopped making them after the discontinuation announcement.

But the CMS does seem definitively over since the new 1010 is not compatible with it anymore. Too bad. (I did order the new 1010 anyhow though. My first and heretofore only router is a 2021 1400. The 1010 sounds too good to pass up, especially since I plan to keep the 1400 in the CMS after I get it.)

We've had some of these tools on order for over a year and they just randomly show up. The supply chain is just wrecked right now.

If you have something on your short list and it's in stock, grab it. Stuff is going fast. The Limited Edition Clamping Set is another example, we sold out in about a week or so and it doesn't even start shipping for two more weeks.

My Magic 8 Ball is broken, otherwise I would be able to tell you guys what was showing up before it hit the dock.  [tongue]

Import container shipping is on the periphery of my real job so I try to keep up with it and learn as much as I can. Perhaps one knotch above repeating "there are 100 container ships anchored off LA/Long Beach".

My limited understanding is that there is very little tracking and data integration between the various nodes of the supply chain. Close to the faxing paperwork era in some cases. There are numerous tech companies working on this now but, like medical records, it's taking a while.

Makes me long for the days when everything arrived next day for free.
