Does a Festool wand fit a Miele STB 205-3 35mm Turbo Brush?

Q. Does the 35mm Festool stainless steel wand have a snug fiction fit into the port of the Miele STB 205-3 35mm Turbo Brush?

I want to use the Miele STB 205-3 35mm Turbo Brush instead of the Festool Turbo Suction Brush # 450644.

The Miele Turbo Brush normally accepts a Miele wand that locks in place via a 1cm square detent cut into the Miele wand's cylinder about 1-2 cm from the end (I do not own a Miele wand, but see photo).

It seems possible the Festool wand might stay put in the Miele by means of a snug friction fit given the Festool wand tapers from 35mm to 34mm.  Does anyone have direct experience with this?

I have both the Miele upright and canister model, but the canister model is with my Daughters at school, so I can only compare the upright against the Festool hose size.  I took the little integrated Miele round brush attachment, that the upright wand fits into, and replicated the same fit with the tool end of the Festool 27mm hose end.  Both were a tight fit. 

To be sure however, you should visit your local Miele dealer and try it out.

Not sure which "wand" you've got, but all the attachments I can find laying around are totally interchangeable.

I have the seb 213-2 head on my s500 vac, which does fit snugly on the festool hose.  That's the smaller powered head, so the stb205-2 should also fit.  You mentioned the "-3" model.  I'm not sure what that last digit means?  But the Miele tube looks like the one you pictured.

the Festool stainless steel wand has a secure and snug friction fit into the Miele STB 205-3 35mm Turbo Brush.
