Does anyone here use soap finish?

I've experimented with it a bit but it didn't come out looking that great...  If you guys do use it, I'd love to hear your experiences.

I had ordered some pure soap flakes after reading that article last week.  I'll try to get them on a sample by the end of the week.  I'll keep you posted.

I've just laid a Dinesen floor , Douglas fir 400mm x 35mm x 10m long boards that was finished with lye and soap but I never saw the finish so can't help you there. Do a search on here for my thread on it think it was " unusual flooring job"
