the closest we got was the Pro-5/sander, but I’m afraid someone got fired from that super deal. The promotion was limited, and it was first-come first served. The idea was to get new users on the green Kool-Aid train. It ended up being everyone on FOG bought one... and that’s how the cookie crumbled. Festool NA has run trade-in deals before on a router upgrade and discounts on items that they are phasing out. Nothing related to holidays and bargains.ear3 said:

Well we had last year I think a cashback deal. From 25, 50 and 100 EUR (100 was on a kapex)
And i think few (?) times a year a free battery. Thats about it.
Now in Europe some dealers sell below advertising price.

Really isn't a good answer for that. Recon program will save you 10% , but you forego 2 years of warranty and sometimes accessories. Not really a great value considering the reg. price. Some guys just love that hundred bucks though. [unsure]
Another way is to monitor here, members usually alert the group to deals like the Pro5 and the recent RAS deal. Those were both serious discounts on new , full warranty gear.
Sometimes you can score a bargain on CL, Marketplace, eBay ect.... But, you have to be very careful as some of that stuff sells used for more than it cost orig. new. [scared]
If you need or want one of these tools, just get it today. Odds are it won't be cheaper in the future and you can be using it today. in the long run, that'll give you the most bang for your buck.
I bought my first Festool last year-used. Maybe my timing was good, but I started checking the major internet Festool dealers this year, and found different dealers running specials at different times. Some of these specials were due to systainer or battery changes, and the deals have deceased since those changes are now made. I learned you had to be fast to pull the trigger. I missed buying a HKC55 with two non-bluetooth batteries for $395 by a few hours. I think that sale only lasted four days. But I picked up a RAS115, a C18 drill, Carvex 420 with bluetooth, and a ESTC 125 sander with a 110v/18v converter, all at least 25% off.
Also watch the packaging. Festool has some packages that are better values than others. For example, I think their T18 impact and PDC drill in one systainer at $599 is a better value than buying them separately. Maybe I am missing something, but having some flexibility in picking the combination can save you some money.

This is exactly the type of info I am looking for . I enjoy looking for combos, checking this website, I only started this less than a year ago and it’s worked out wonderfully. I’ve not only found these/other deals but it’s helped me speed up my learning curve.
I will say that what they sell a lot of used tools for blows my mind. I’m a cheapskate lol but for virtually the same money I can purchase new.
I’ve also “met” a couple wonderful guys that were selling brand new stuff at very fair prices with extra stuff they had too much of.

My Festool journey started last Black Friday with the TS55, ct36 ev vacuum and the standard drywall sander. Discount was 30-40% on each item. I do not think they are doing it this year and I haven't had an email from the recon site in months.
I then found a great deal on craigslist. Mft sys, 3 other systainers, a porter cable biscuit joiner, a graco airless ultra, the complete rail accessory kit in the systainer, a pair of clamping elements and an extra pair of screw clamps. I think $450.
I then bought an 0F1400 on ebay for around $400. LR32 for $385 here on FOG. Airstak compressor here on FOG (saved about $100).
Found a well used and unloved MFT on CL for $200.
I bought a DTS sander and that was the first thing I paid full price for. Next a carvex for $300 amazon warehouse deal.
Taiga rail square and mft template from Finland both with 15% discount from a facebook group.
Recently got the systainer deal with quick clamps, a great bargain.
More quick clamps and a set of dogs and a mft fence.
Then, wouldn't you know it, I fell in love with the Zeta p2 and paid full price.
All within a year, it's a sickness.
What I'm saying is you can save money on Festool if you're prepared to hunt and wait, but ultimately you're going to spend a lot of money.

You've described me, I spend a lot of time searching for deals on Festool, and I feel like I've found a lot from a variety of places. Some I've found myself and some through the help of others.
I only started this in January 2020 and have largely collected a lot of tools I've not used much. I've built a few things , worked/working on setting up my shop and actually trying to finish up some exterior work before winter. I do plan to start building/learning this winter.
I actually think short term I'm in pretty good shape but I've known along the way this journey wouldn't be cheap.
