Does this kind of 90* flush cutter exist for cutting metal rods or nails?

I came across this flush cutter for plastics, but does something similar exist for cutting nails or steel wires?

Any high leverage nippers/ cutting pliers or end cutters that can cut like that?

I have tried to find one for years............................  no luck. Pretty sure the edge geometry for true flush cutting doesn't work for anything harder than soft metals.

Lots have been suggested by others whenever I ask, but every time it turns out to not be a true flush cut.

If you find some let me know.

Nothing that is truly flush cutting is tough enough to cut anything harder than copper or small diameter brass. I have FastCap and some older pliers that are truly flush cutting but they’re not for steel.

You can find flush crimping nail pulling pliers though. Sometimes you can keep working those pliers around the shank until it is indented enough that it will break off flush or nearly so.

Up to 3mm Piano wire. Knipex 61 01 200 or 61 02 200. Knipex claims an "almost" flush cut. The cut is definitely closer to the material than with comparable "high leverage front cutters" since the cut line is not set/taken back/ recessed that far.

Edit: Better pictures of how flush it cuts on the German product page:https://www.knipex.de/produkte/schn...t/bolzen-vornschneider-hochuebersetzt/6101200 just scroll down.

Piano wire, yes. but flush cutting nails... I gotta ask, what application?
Flush cut is the desired result, but even if it's 1/16" proud, it'd be great, for example, when I want to trim the rivet to length:

For the lack of a better tool (the side cutters I have do not have the leverage), I had to use a rotary tool -- with extreme care. The dremel worked but it was such a slow process as the disc could scorch the wood in just a slight slip. And I had some 30 rivets to "flush cut."

Yours are the same as the one I found on the HD site, and I really like the high leverage feature, but the cutter is not near flush cut.

You mean something like this?https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B08HH2BF2M...pY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU&th=1

A tip for saving your hands when using that kind of tool is to squeeze the handles together with a Quick Grip clamp. A little extra leverage and a more comfortable shape to squeeze.
