domino 500

I bought the 500 Q plus and not the Q set.  Does the Q set have alignment pins and the Q plus have tabs? I thought these were the same machine minus some attachments. 
I want one with the pins for registration in a previously cut slot and the tabs don't do this.  If these are different machines can I exchange and upgrade to the Q plus?

The pin type Domino was the original model.  It was replaced with the paddle style.

The cross stops might be useful to you (if you didn't already get them).  They have a pin on them and they attach to the outside edges of the domino base. But obviously, the spacing will be far wider than the built in paddle stops on the domino base.
