domino 700 set + ct 36 ac

i recently bought a bunch of festool tools the domino 700 set + the ct 36 ac in a package and 8 or 9 more but this package is what im wanting to talk about. when i started looking at what tools i wanted to buy and what would work for me, one of the things that stood out to me about festool was that they made things work together. so i could have an entire shop basically in the back of a truck. i bought this set because it saved me the most money, i bought the package with the ct 36 because i also bought the planex and it works for the planex to have the ac feature. my problem is that all the tools i bought except the planex cant be hooked up to the vacuum, and it kinda frustrates me since i didnt buy planex package, the dealer will sell me the other hose or a adapter but not exchange hoses or give me an adapter, and i phoned festool to see if i was to get an adapter, and they said no. but the hose i need is for sale.

The 36 AC is the only CT that comes with the 36 mm hose, all of the others come with the 27 mm hose. If you purchased one of the other CT's the hose would not have worked with the Planex (and the CT would not have the auto clean function).

My suggestion would be to purchase the 27 mm hose, it works more comfortably with the smaller tools.

Worth getting the antistatic hose.  The one that comes with the AC is the standard black hose

If you are thinking of getting an additional hose, you might consider just getting a midi or mini since they are more portable for the times you need to move the vac to another location.  Either already comes with a 27mm antistatic hose and it won't hurt to have a smaller vac when you need it.

/\ /\  This is what I have done, the initial cost is hard to take sometimes but after having both I would never go back.  I know the initial problem is with the hose selection that came with the vac you ordered and it sucks that you walked away from the dealer thinking you had a running setup (don't ask how I know)  [sad]

Also agree on the anti static hose!  Big improvement, safer, less surprises!

The black hose that comes with the CT 36 AC is an anti-static hose.

^^^^ Yup, what Tom said. The black Planex hose is anti-static.

Or just wait for the CTL-SYS to come out, which will no doubt come with a 27mm hose...?
