Domino adaptor for Wooodhaven Biscuit Master

Hi Michael
Looks pretty helpful if you don't have an MFT or want more portability. You could screw it down to anything flat and biscuit/ Domino to your hearts content.

If you have an MFT I like these clampshttp://www.leevalley.com/wood/page.aspx?c=2&p=46046&cat=1,43838

I usually use two (or more if the part is really long) and they are real quick to clamp and release. They don't have the aligning feature of the Biscuit Master but the Domino does a good job of aligning itself. The little snap on jigs work well for narrow stuff.

Michael,
Woodhaven makes a lot of good tools and accessories.  But I agree with Mike that an MFT would accomplish the same goals in a simpler manner.  I have used the MFT and associated clamps with the Domino.

The double trac and flip stop features look interesting. Wonder if they could be adapted to the MFT?

Thought that it looked very similar to the Festool site. That must be new, it never looked that way before.

Well I just ordered one this weekend so I will let everyone know what I think when I get it.  I am building a bunch of kitchen/bath cabinet doors with 45 degree miters and my initial tests with the Domino didn't get exactly consistent results, primarily in terms of slight height differences.  I know it could be technique but I look to the Biscuit Master to give me assembly line type repeatability since I have so many identical pieces to do.

Wow

Did anyone else think Woodhaven's site looks very similar to Festool?

Paul, yea, almost a clone.  I wonder if they use the same Web Building company.

Or the same template or tool.  If you view the HTML source, there are some identical comments.
