Domino Connectors for 18mm 3/4" panels?

Advice greatly appreciated...

I have both the 500 and 700 Domino machines and I want to use the knock down connector fixings to connect the edges of 18mm 8x4 sheet materials (either ply or MDF) together along the long edge to be stood vertically. I.e. connected edge-to-edge to form a display wall. (Think plasterboard/dry wall but a temporary display structure using 18mm sheets).

Which connectors are the best ones to use?

I look at it this way, the 500 connectors were designed for sheet goods, the 700 connectors were designed for beds & doors.

Thanks - so which connector for the 500 is the correct one? I have seen the centre panel connector but it seems to depict its use for vertical panels intersecting with two horizontal panels on either side, like in an Ikea shelving unit.

Are these suitable for use when the centre vertical panel is removed and just use them to edge joint two panels, or are they too long to be used in that manner if the vertical panel is removed due to limited cutter depth?

Here, this may answer your questions. I don't think there is a right or wrong way necessarily, it's all about your application and how you want them to function. I've used them to attach face frames which they don't address.

Cheese - do you use standard beech dominoes for face frames, or do you use some sort of panel connector?

Because I may need to access the area behind where the cabinets are, I use the Festool 8/50 connectors for the face fames. Ya it's expensive but it's actually money saved when you consider the alternatives. I'm a real fan of the 8/50 connectors.
