Domino Cutter Case

Here's a dumb question:

I have the full range of cutters for the DF 500, but I didn't purchase them as a set (mine are made by CMT and have worked great).

I just keep the cutters in the individual plastic boxes they came in from CMT, and they just sort of rattle around in the systainer. I would like to get rid of those and put the cutters together in a case or pouch.  I would happily purchase the festool cutter case (the clear plastic box with the foam insert), but it doesn't appear to be for sale individually.  So...

Is anyone aware of an appropriately sized pouch or similar to hold all 5 cutters?

If they get loose from that, you can always give Festool USA a call and see if they can sell you the little case itself separately.

It does - for some reason, I have had an aversion to the cutters not being more protected than that, but I should probably try it before I put too much effort into an alternative.

I certainly understand that.  Even if I rarely used the 4mm cutter but it came loose and chipped or snapped, I'd be pretty upset myself (the others are more likely to chip than snap, but chipping is still not good).

I made my own storage for my router bits.  It would seem to be similar to your requirement.  I am guessing it is a 10 mm shaft. 

A block of plastic or MDF that fits in an appropriate-sized box would work.  Just drill holes to hold the bits.

The search term on Google is "plastic dry box".  Scuba divers and surfers like to have these around.  Probably fishermen too.

It's not entirely rational.  I've never had a problem with the systainer slots for the 5mm LR32 bits. [doh]

The little plastic case you asked about is part of the Domino assortment box set. I bought that and got the bits in the cute little box. Then, we bought a Domino at work that was the "Anniversary Edition" that came with all the bits. I was expecting the same little box, but instead it had 5 loose single bit containers in the Systainer. Kind of a bummer.
