Domino DF 700 discontinued?

I received an email from Lee Valley just now announcing a sale on Discontinued Festool Products

Among them was the Domino XL on sale for 1898/2020 for bare tool/set.

I can't find any mention of the DF 700 being discontinued elsewhere.  I have intentions to buy one eventually -- is this a sign of a new product/re-design I should wait for?

Yes, get all the Festools you want to buy in the upcoming years asap while there might still be stock in T-loc around.

Since the introduction of Sys3 2/3rd of my Festool machine purchases have been from the used market, complete with T-Loc Systainer. Before Sys3 that percentage was... 0. (Excluding the CTL Midi-I from the count as not in Systainer.)

Why are the vacuums on clearance?

Looking a Festool’s website for CT36 AC is cheaper ($985) than the sale price on the Lee Valley website ($1051). What am I missing?

Thanks guys, make sense.  I didn’t realize until now that I do prefer the TLoc sustainers as well.

Perhaps you ended up on the Canadian Lee Valley site?

I will take a guess; because it got a new number because it now comes with a hose that has the bleed valve?

USD vs CAD

I'm sure this is just a swap over to the new Sys, BUT - according to those in the know on social media, Festool are currently in the process of re-designing the Domino. They have been contacting woodworkers to get their input. If true, a new tool would still be a fair way away.

I definitely would sign up for that

Both are valid points. I guess the link took me to the Canadian site hence the $ difference. Thanks for pointing it out.
