Domino dust collection

I was looking at the Domino and saw that there were different adapters for different vacuum systems (Festool).  Is there any way to hook the Domino up to a dust collection system?

Yes. Any shop vac, Festools is best. Take a look at this post:

The Domino can be hooked up same as the sanders that Mike is showing. The Domino will be making a lot of chips. Mike has said he plans to use the Dust Deputy to collect the majority. I just received my Dust Deputy now if I could get my Domino.

The manual states that the Domino needs to be connected to a dust collector as it may jam with chips without a dust collector.

According to UPS my Domino will be here on Wednesday. I have a brand new mini waiting for it that will be dedicated to it.

The FesTool vacs are the ones!  I've not had any chips or dust with Domino and my CT-22.  I keep looking and there just isn't any.  Not sure how they do it, but it's always clean as a whistle!

I have a cyclone 6" dust collection system and cannot see re-inventing the wheel for dust collection.  I'm sure that festool has a geat dust collection system, but I need to use what I brung.

What people are saying is that a Dust collector when necked down to a small opening like a 1 or 1.5" hose connection typically does not provide an adequate amount of flow for a large chip volume producing tool like the Domino.  You can try it but most have not been very successful in doing that.

I like to call the big machines a chip collector, and the vacs dust collectors. And yes, although they both provide suction, the vacuum on a dust collector is designed provided a LOT of suction --in a very small area. On the other hand, a chip collector is designed to provide a lot of air movement in a wide area. Of course one can get away with some cross use. (I can very successfully hook up my Fein vac to my table saw).

There's a bunch of techno-jargin to describe it, but I need to go sing a solo.

The cyclone dust collectors generate a large volume of airflow but very little pressure, so they have a hard time sucking through restricted openings (like tools).  They are suited to pull air from around a saw, sander, jointer, etc.  Check out the following website for an involved discussion on the topic:
