Domino kit question?

Domino kit question?

In looking at used Dominos I saw one that had #574258 marked on the Systainer.
And one that had #3574308 Both were on the sticker marked DF 500 Set then the number over a  bar code. Both also had DF 500 Q Set on the Systainer. Can anyone tell me what the difference is? How can you tell the age of a Domino and or does this have anything to do with it?

No they were not a package but both had the optional trim and cross stops included.

No, I meant that I believe the festool product number may refer to a package.

The 574258 is the DF500Q Domino , this is the old classic systainer #, no trim stop or cross stop.

The 574308 is a number I am unable to locate in either the 2009 or 2011/2012 catalog.

Sal, I looked some also but found nothing as well. I thought maybe someone may know some of the codes for Festool. Is there a way to tell the age of a Domino?

The serial number will basically date the tool. Festool service can help you on that issue I believe

The person must have purchased them separately as they were in the systainer and the systainer did have a spot for them?

No problem!  In a way it does date the tool because the CT33 was replaced by the CT36 a while ago.

I am not home to check, but the 574258 was not a set. ICRC the last ones shipped at the end of 2009, beginning of 2010. The set version at that time was item 574283.
The 574308 is the domino set that replaced 574283.
That was available until early 2011. Offhand I don't remember if it was TLOC or not or iif had the paddles instead of pins for domino tenon registration.

The TLOC is the newer, single lock systainer.  The older, "classic" systainers had 4 latches - one in each corner.
Virtually all newer tools Are now in TLOC only.

Ok, back home now.

The 574258 had the pins and older support bracket. The 574308 was the set with the paddles and newer support bracket. The newer bracket provides additional support over the older one. The 574307 (non-set) and 574308 (set) were available summer of 09.
