I want to do recessed drawer fronts that are 6 7/8 x 27 1/8. I was gonna do the rails and stiles at 1 3/4 and the dadoes at 1/2. This doesnt leave much room for dominoing. Should I be using that narrow stock jig and scribed lines to get the right fit or is this a trainwreck waiting to happen, thanks Eric

Just laid it all out and looks like it will work, just barely though. Im using scribed lines for alignment and oversizing the stiles. This will be my virgin Domiplate plunge!!! Thanks Ron, Eric

Everything worked out, by small margins but unfortunately I didnt seem to need the narrow stock jig, oh well, another day,Eric

Somehow I couldn't get my head around what you were Dominoing.  I blame the heat :)  If you have pics, maybe there's a different way to do it for next time.

Paul, they are gluing up right now, but I will when they are done. Its stile and rail with recessed panel. The stile and rails are 1 3/4 and the dado is 1/2. With some careful set up and the domiplate for extra support it all went well. The dominoes are less then a 1/4 from the edge of the board and less then a quarter away from the stop point of the dado, make sense? Eric

Ah, okay, makes sense. I saw 'recessed drawer front' so I thought it was solid but recessed vis-a-vis the plane of the drawer apron.  My head's not workin' today.  Carry on!

I did some 5 piece drawer fronts like this.  3" wide styles and 1 1/2" wide rails with a 5/16" deep dado.  Not much room to play with.  The draw width went all the way up to 35".  I used Blum Tandem draw glides and I have the pulls screwed through the drawer box so there's almost no stress on those joints.  1/4" narrower than yours.  About 3 years in service, so far so good.
