Hi Matthew et all,
I do like the new home and format. I'd be considered a 'newbie' by the old rules, glad I'm at least a 'member' now. since I've read probably every message every day since the beginning; but, that doesn't count.
Couple of comments on usability, not a complaint. Had a difficult time figuring out what folder 'site operations' I should have gone to to ask about how to give even more feedback on the site (enjoyed reading your development discussions).
One topic that should have a prominent folder for a while is the Festool Domino Drawing. I've sent in my registration, and wanted to let one of my woodworking buddies know about the contest and new site. But, If I just send him to this site, I don't know where it tells about the drawing! Perhaps I missed it (got it from the Yahoo site). So, for those of us who wish to invite new members (and thereby reduce our own chances of winning :-[) it would be useful to have the contest and rules easily accessed.
Oh, my devious mind at work. How do we avoid jamming the ballot box? Recently Eric McCrystal, manager of our local Woodcraft store had a gala one year celebration and woodworking fair at his store, compete with some pretty good door prizes, based on a key to a treasure chest. To get a key, you wanted you to be a customer, but to be legal and fair, he provided a method that allowed non customers equal access. To get a key this way, one submitted a copy of the newspaper announcement by US mail. Unfortunately, the winner brought in 25 copies of the newspaper article and his name and address on each, and convinced a well meaning salesperson to give hin 25 keys. He won first prize.
So, I hope there is some slight system to not only limit the winners to one per household, but also limit the entry's to one per member, and no bogus members. Ideas?
Hoping and wishing, but of course I'll buy one if I don't win.

P.s. also noticed when I did a spell check that it didn't like "Festool". Any way we can add that to the dictionary?
