Domiplate centers on 3/4-inch ply or 3/4-inch?

In my experience, with the Baltic birch I get, a 3/4-inch sheet is about a 32nd narrower than 3/4.  Does the plate account for this or does it end up slightly off center on ply?  I also use 3/4-inch lumber for face frames which measures at 3/4 which is why I'm asking.

Scorpion, I believe it centers at 9mm, however with the difference in ply thickness you really need to focus on referencing off the outside face or end and ignore the center point, it will seldom be exactly on center.

I just ordered mine so I was curious about this myself.
On their website (Seneca) it does state "Nominal" 1/2" and 3/4" which would lead me to think its not a true (full) 1/2 or 3/4 but rather ply thickness. But even then there is variation depending on the plywood. I'm going to check that out.

I have the plates and the thickness gauge and the ¾ and ½ references are to get you very close to center. I actually like that it is not dead center so you can quickly tell if a workpiece is flipped when fitting.

Their products are great and if you keep mind of your reference edge, things will go your way.

Cheers. Bryan.

So the real value is to avoid fence drift.  I already use outside face but figured I'd no longer need to do so.  Guess that makes sense, material isn't perfect dimensionally.
