Drill Guides?

Does anyone have a portable drill guide they like?

This guide from wolfcraft looks pretty great. Even has a dust extraction port! But, I really doubt it will fit Festool drills or vacs .

And now, of course, I cannot stop wishing that Festool would just make this. Compatible with chucks + dust. Dang...

I have the Wolfcraft myself and it works but for some applications there's to much play.
The fitting does 43 mm and will fit all drills with a regular hand grip like the Festool PDC, DRC, DR and PD,
Festool also sells them in Europe because they took over the drill guides from Protool.
They are 3 models and probably NAINA.
The cheapest GD 320 still cost €329, while the Wolfcraft is only €40 over here.

Doesn't the ax minster one fit festool? I think they also ship to the states.

^Me too.^

My mini 20$ one was on sale for 10$, and want not worth a penny.
But I think there could be ones I between the Mafell and the Lucky Starfish ones.

Good suggestion Edward - Axminster will ship to the US and the price is much better.  It is also 43mm which should work with a subset of Festool drills noted above - Festool PDC, DRC, DR and PD.

I've thought about drill guides etc. Think I'll likely end up getting a drill press with a table that can tilt. The smallest size possible..

I got corded Kress a while ago with the 43-mm... For ~20£ it seems worth a try. [big grin]

But it has this good feature; "The guide rods can be set to protrude beyond the level of the base, so the guide can be used to automatically centre on an edge".
