I dropped my drill and one of the battery press release tabs broke off. :/
I cannot even find batteries on EKAT to see if I could order another release button. Any one help with this? maybe a release button part number?

You best bet would be to call Festool and talk to them.

Festool service is your friend. Depending on how long you owne this drill and registered it it might be under warranty

I am gonna guess that Festool is not gonna recommend opening the batteries yourself.  [unsure]

Nice, but it seems they are not opening the battery packs.

There is no big danger from opening the drill itself (battery detached). But the battery pack, if opened and shorted... that stuff can burn, explode, gas, etc. That mainly applies to the Lithium batteries. The NiCD and NiMh not so much.
