I purchased a dsc-ag-125  today. When it sits on the guide it is a few mm away from the splinter guard. This is on a brand new guide track.

With my ts55 the saw cuts off the splinter guard a fraction but with this tool the blafe doesnt even get close. You line up the splinter guard with your line but your final cut is a couple of mm away from the line.

Is there some adjustment I'm missing or do i have a faulty tool?

Many thanks

There’s an adjustment on the track saws, there may also be an adjustment on the grinder platform. Check the owners manual, it may be mentioned in there.

I’m not certain that the grinder should be touching the splinter strip. If the grinder were to dwell in one position too long, it may start to melt the splinter strip, whereas the saw would not.

Here are the adjustment screws for guide clearance according to the manual. I don't know how much you can adjust them, and as Cheese said, if it is really meant to touch the splinterguard. I imagine you could easily damage your splinterguard this way.
